Grammatically challenged toys

Am I starting the year right with another installment of Funny Signs? My wife and I noticed a lot of funny labels on toys that are being sold in the market.

At a popular mall in Marikina last December 20, we “feasted” our eyes on this:

Toy bus

Never realized that buses have “styles.” Of course, your more pressing concern is what is being made carefully, right?

The box of a toy car, meanwhile, carries this sign (sorry for the low resolution):

Toy car

The toy car is said to have not only “speed” and “power,” but a “successive” of it. Huh?

If this does not make sense to you, perhaps this sign on the box of a toy helicopter will!

Toy helicopter

Never mind the word “gift” being unnecessarily made plural. The toy has “Infinite Power”! Displayed prominently above the phrase”Battery Operated,” you may think that you will never have to change batteries again! Finally, an alternative energy resource. Perhaps this would explain the toy’s slogan:

Toy helicopter

Then again, what kind of “severe” competition is at hand once a child plays with the toy helicopter? Remember that helicopter is also called “chopper.”

For children who have a keen fashion sense, this toy robot may interest them.

Toy robot

It has, after all, the “highest streamline body work design,” whatever that means! The so-called super century design makes it a lot of funs. Hmm. Perhaps this would explain why the toy robots are selling like hotcakes all over the world, even before their actual distribution. Get it?

If you plan to buy this toy robot, please don’t forget this fashionista laser sword:

If you want to give your younger relatives a “thinking” game, think again! The following labels on the boxes speak for themselves.

Tesselation
Monopoly

You can say that I am going through a “Great Depression” now, considering that Monopoly was one of my favorite board games when I was still a kid.

That’s all for now. More funny signs coming up. Thanks for reading.
