An online article yesterday (August 12) titled “Plagiarism and the `ponente’ system” by David Dizon of ABS-CBN News Online includes my views on plagiarism.
The article is based on the Media in Focus episode titled “Word Theft” on ANC aired last Thursday (August 7). Hosted by Cheche Lazaro, I was one of the three guests, the other two being Prof. Luis Teodoro of the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR) and Anthony Ian Cruz of Asahi Shimbun.
The day after its airing, Hector Bryant Macale of CMFR (whose article titled “Plagiarists: The vampire chroniclers” was the basis for the episode) wrote about what happened and gave his views on the issue.
