15 widows of Ampatuan massacre victims give updates on fourth death anniversary of loved ones on November 23

end impunity logoFifteen widows of Ampatuan massacre victims will be at the auditorium of the University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication (UP CMC) on November 23 (Saturday), 10:00 a.m. to talk to the media and the public on the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of their loved ones.

Their lawyer, Prof. Harry Roque of the UP College of Law, will also give updates on the case. He will also give details on the case he filed at the United Nations to compel the Philippine state to give compensation to the massacre victims.

The widows will then join the mass action to be led by the End Impunity Alliance in Mendiola. Assembly time in Morayta (in front of Far Eastern University) is 1 p.m. The march to Mendiola will happen at 1:30 p.m.

At Mendiola, the alliance will highlight the Aquino administration’s accountability as regards the continuing culture of impunity. President Aquino will be presented as the country’s “Impunity King.”
