  • J 122 WUV (Publication Design and Layout): Although we will not have a class, the BNR will be open during class hours so that you can work on your webpages. J 122 TUV students will be allowed to use vacant BNR facilities.
  • J 202 WZZ (Advanced Reporting): We will have a workshop on your feature articles. After the workshop, I will give you instructions regarding the column and interpretive articles you are required to submit on September 10 and 24, respectively.

September 2 (Tuesday)

  • J 122 TUV (Publication Design and Layout): The last group will present its report. We will also discuss the outputs you are required to submit in the coming weeks.
  • Media 230 TZZ (Media Ethics): We will continue the discussion of selected Advertising and PR codes of ethics. Those assigned to discuss selected Entertainment codes of ethics and selected Journalism case studies must be ready to present their reports.

Those assigned to discuss the selected codes of ethics in the field of Advertising & PR and Entertainment will also present their reports. I will give you the midterm exam question, the answer of which is due on August 26.

  • J 202 WZZ (Advanced Reporting): We will not meet on August 13.  You only need to submit your feature article through our e-group. We will subject your outputs to a workshop on August 20, during which time we will discuss the last two requirements (column and interpretive articles).

  • J 122 TUV (Publication Design and Layout): We will have our second session on HTML handcoding, this time focusing on hyperlinking and the use of tables in Web design. If time permits, members of Group 4 will present their report on typography and design principles.
  • Media 230 TZZ (Media Ethics): We will continue our discussion of the New Media situation. Those assigned to discuss selected codes of ethics on Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations will make their presentations.

August 6 (Wednesday)

Prior to these reports, we will have the Q & A portion of the situation of radio. As in the case of J 122 TUV, we will not meet on July 29. We will meet on August 5 where those assigned to discuss the advertising and PR code of ethics are scheduled to give their report.

July 23 (Wednesday)

  • J 122 WUV (Publication Design and Layout): Same instructions as J 122 TUV. We will not meet on July 30 but we will meet on August 6 where Group 4 is scheduled to report.
  • J 202 WZZ (Advanced Reporting): I have already set up our e-group where you should send your required articles, the first of which (i.e., news feature) is due on July 21 (Monday). Since we will have a workshop on your submitted outputs, please read your classmates’ articles before the class. Given that I will still be out of the country on July 30, our meeting after the 23rd will be on August 6.
