I visited the Eye on Ethics website this morning (June 17) to look for case studies I can use in my Media 230 (Media Ethics) class. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the article of Hector Bryant Macale titled “Plagiarists: The vampire chroniclers” has already been uploaded. I am well aware of his research because he interviewed me last March 6.

The article discusses recent cases of plagiarized articles and what some media organizations are doing about it. Due to space constraints, the article only focuses on the print medium, even if my interview covered cases of plagiarism in print, broadcast and online journalism.

I hope you will read the article if you have time. If you’re a journalist or a journalism student, you can learn a lot from reading this and other articles uploaded to Eye on Ethics.

As of this writing, Eye on Ethics only has an Alexa Traffic Rank of 5,011,689 and a Google PageRank of 3/10. Let’s try to increase its readership and authority by spreading the word around. Thank you for reading.
