Call me a late bloomer, but it’s only now that I’ve joined the Twitter mania. Martin Perez’s post about Twitter prompted me to open an account. Just like Martin, I plan to use Twitter to communicate with my students. Of course, I can only hope that they will “follow me” via Twitter.
With the start of classes at UP on November 9 (Friday), students should expect that I will be posting announcements through Twitter. I agree with Martin that this is very convenient for those who are on the go: I can use my mobile phone to post entries on Twitter, and the service is absolutely free for those who want to “follow me.”
Of course, for security reasons, I have to remind myself that I should not give away vital information like where I am at certain times, especially at night. I think that goes also for those who are publicly known for being critical about the powers-that-be.
I sincerely hope that you will be very careful in blogging about personal details.
That’s all for now and please “follow me” via Twitter.
if you’re on the go, you can still update your twitter status by texting it to our gateway. costs is the same as a regular local text msg.
