Do you curse? How verbose are you?

The Blog-O-Cuss Meter - Do you cuss a lot in your blog or website?Warning: I took the two online tests mentioned in this post only in the spirit of fun. They do not provide empirical proof of the nature of the contents of Rising Sun.

I need to issue this warning as early as now because you might be surprised by “The Blog & Website Cuss-O-Meter” test result for this blog.

According to the result, “Around 0.3% of the pages on your website contain cussing. This is 97% LESS than other websites who took this test.”

Now, the question is: Where are the cuss words that I used in my posts? Did the posts in Filipino affect the test result?

Anyway, there is another interesting test that I took, also from the same website that provides this Cuss-O-Meter test.

Would you like to have an idea of how verbose you are and if it affects your blogging?

Try taking “The Blog Verbosity Test” but – pardon my repeated pleas! – take the result with a grain of salt.

I know I did, as soon as I got the result.

Do you talk too much in your blog?

The result claims, “On average, your blog posts are around 80 words in length. This is 79 percent shorter than other bloggers who took this test.”

For those who’ve read this blog long enough, you know that my Pinoy Weekly column articles have an average word count of 600 words.

I guess it only goes to show that we should not believe all online tests we take, and that we should only take them in the spirit of fun (and also to avoid killing cats as we satisfy our curiosity).

It’s your turn now: Do you curse? How verbose are you? Do let me know. Thank you for reading.
