June 24 (Tuesday)

• J 122 TUV (Publication Design and Layout): Students who were absent last June 17 should submit a written analysis of the design and layout of the publications they were assigned to critique. Groups 1 and 2 will present their reports on History of Publishing and Overview of the Production Process, respectively.
• Media 230 TZZ (Media Ethics): We will continue our discussion of the definition of ethics, this time using as take-off point the arguments raised in the CMFR Ethics Manual and Santos’ “News is neutral.” Please also read the first seven articles in item II of your syllabus’ course outline (i.e., Philippine mass media situation-print), namely Teodoro; Article 19 and CMFR; Ables; Braid; Coronel; Del Mundo; and Giron.

June 25 (Wednesday)

• J 122 WUV (Publication Design and Layout): Same instructions as J 122 TUV; same requirements for students who were absent last June 18.
• J 202 WZZ (Advanced Reporting): We will discuss the CMFR Ethics Manual (pp. 13-34) and the four assigned readings for June 25 (i.e., Arao et al.; Coronel & Tirol; Braid et al.; and Jose). Kindly refer to your syllabus for details. (My personal copy of the CMFR Ethics Manual is with Joe.)
