Concerned sectors demand junking of forced leave of absence, socialized tuition at UP

What: Rally, noise Barrage in time for the special meeting of the Board of Regents (BOR) of the University of the Philippines (Note: The BOR is the highest policy-making body at UP)

Why:

  1. To demand the scrapping of the socialized tuition and financial assistance program (STFAP) and junking of the forced leave of absence policy, among other issues.
  2. To demand justice for the UP Manila student who committed suicide last March 15 for inability to pay tuition, resulting in a forced leave of absence.

Who: Justice for Kristel Alliance, UP Kilos Na and other concerned groups and individuals

When: April 12 (Friday), 8:30 a.m.

Where: Quezon Hall (right behind the Oblation statue), UP Diliman, Quezon City
