Just out of curiosity, I took the Blog Readability Test at http://www.criticsrant.com/bb/reading_level.aspx and this was the result.

Take the test now!
As you may already know, “high school” level is good since it doesn’t take a high degree of education to understand the contents of my blog.

Just how reliable is this test? I computed the Flesch Reading Ease score of my most recent post and I got a 72.2 (Fairly Easy).

I am inclined to suspect, however, that the website only computes the most recent entry of a blog. From my experience, articles written in Filipino (and you know that I have a lot of them on this blog!) are normally computed as being difficult to read by tests that are meant for those written in English.

My two most recent column articles (”Pulitika ng pagbibigay ng regalo” and “Kakaibang pag-alala kay Monico Atienza [1947-2007]“) published in Pinoy Weekly, for example, have Flesch Reading Ease scores of 10.3 and 10.2 (Very Difficult), respectively.

If you prefer not to depend on the Blog Readability Test and want to know for yourself the Flesch Reading Ease score of your posts, it’s very easy. You may get the details here.

Just how readable is your blog? Do let me know. Thank you for reading.
