The University of the Philippines (UP) Press holds a mass launch of 12 books on August 3 (Friday), 5:00 p.m. on the second floor of Balay Kalinaw in UP Diliman, Quezon City.

My book titled “Hay, Buhay! Reklamong Todo-todo Mula sa Nag-aalboroto” is one of the books to be launched.

Published by the UP Press after undergoing a strict review process, the book consists of 55 essays in Filipino written from 2006 to 2009. The essays are critical commentaries on activism, language, culture, politics, elections and economics, as well as driving and motorcycling. There are also personal essays included in this collection.

“Hay, Buhay!” is my second book of essays released this year. It may be recalled that the first book, “Kon(tra)teksto: Pag-uungkat, Pag-uulat at Pagmumulat” published by the DLSU Publishing House and Central Books was one of the print books launched by DLSU last June 11.

In addition to a third book published by the UST Publishing House, all of my three books will be launched in time for the Buwan ng Wika (Language Month) within the second week of August. Details of my solo launch will be announced after the August 3 mass launch of UP Press.
